​Day 7: Summit Night! Barafu Camp → Uhuru Peak → Mweka Camp

​Midnight Departure: Wake up around 23:00–23:30 for hot tea and light snacks. Begin pushing up the scree slopes toward Stella Point (5,756 m) on the crater rim by headlamp light.
​Sunrise at Stella Point: Arrive around dawn to catch sunrise over the glaciers.
​Uhuru Peak (5,895 m): A final 1-hour push along the crater rim brings you to the highest point in Africa!
​Descent: After photos, descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest and warm meal, then continue down to Mweka Camp located in the upper forest zone.
​Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
